The half crown was a denomination of British money worth two shillings and sixpence, being one-eighth of a pound.

Edward VII British Silver Half Crown. These coins contain 0.420 troy ounces of silver.

1908 Sterling Silver Edward VII Half Crown Coins issued 1908 and were minted in 92.5% Sterling Silver Purity. The face of the Half Crown depicts King Edward the Seventh Head and the words EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX. The reverse of the Edward VII Silver Half Crown is marked with the words HALF 1908 CROWN FID: DEF: IND: IMP: and depicts a Crown over a Shield. The Half Crown was worth Two Shillings and Sixpence (pre-decimalisation) or Two and Six, one eighth of a Pound, equal to Half of a Crown or Thirty pence
